Rebecca Shand is a 2nd year Solent PR student and on her personal PR blog, she’s written about her highlights of 2nd year so far! (Becca even managed to fit in a trip to Handmade Burger Co. with her group between trips to the library!)
Going into second year is definitely a leap from first year. The work load increases and there is a lot more expected of you. This year is serious and you can feel it. However, with the help of your lecturers and as long as you manage your time well, you will fly through the first term with relative ease. We even found time in between group work in the library to go out for a meal!

One of our many tasks for the first term was to pitch to a live client from Festival Place (a large shopping centre in Basingstoke)! We had to pitch ideas for a campaign to increase the amount of traffic to their website. To gather as much research as we could we made a trip to the shopping centre!
