This afternoon I have been frantically searching for and contacting PR students and bloggers to ask them their opinions on the future of PR. One student who has given her opinion is Jess Wellman, a Bournemouth University student who is currently on placement at LeePeck Group, her view is this..

“I think the future of PR is strong – with recent economic devastation such as the recession more and more companies are investing in PR to make them stand out against their competitors. I think the general public are more aware of the PR industry nowadays compared to a few years ago – which can be seen as both positive and negative. It’s great they have an understanding of PR but it also means they are wising up to our persuasion techniques which means we constantly have to be on our ‘A Game’ and keep targeting them with innovative ideas…
